Home Energy Audits

Our home energy audit will carefully review your home’s structure and building components to assess the availability of any energy efficiency improvements. Depending on the age of your home and its features, we can typically find ways to save 10-50% on your total home energy bill. We look at your total energy consumption including power, propane & natural gas.

Our staff has over 20 years experience in building sciences & construction codes, with certifications from the Building Performance Institute and additional training programs through Duke Energy. We are a part of the TVA Quality Contractor Network for energy efficiency experts.

We offer a $99 Home Energy Audit Fee.

How It Works

After visiting and carefully evaluating your home, we will prepare a written report specifying opportunities for increased energy efficiency. The report will include our pricing for any corrections and improvements that we can help you with, and possibly other recommended improvements.

If you decide to proceed with the specified improvements, we will credit the $99 Home Energy Audit Fee towards the project costs.

Focus Areas

We will look at the full energy efficiency picture as we evaluate your home to identify areas of possible improvement. These include windows, attic insulation, wall insulation, basement or crawlspace insulation, windows and doors, ventilation of unconditioned areas, air sealing, age and condition of mechanical systems, efficiency of appliances and lighting, and more.
